Thoughts.

It’s shame. That’s what changes our lives. Think about it, can you think of a time when you were really little that you felt shame? Sure we can remember times growing up where we felt lots of it. But there was a time when being ashamed just didn’t occur to us. We were young. We danced around without any thought of our movements we sang and hummed, not caring how we sounded or who was listening. We cried, and we laughed, and spoke freely. We didn’t have fear because someone might hear or see. We just acted. It was natural. Only when the world dawns on us that we slowly begin to be aware, and feel shame. That’s growing up. Makes a lot of sense of the story of Adam and Eve for me. With God they were without fear. In the world, they were pummeled with it. People are filled with fear. Filled with shame. Only when we’ve grown and can see more are we aware. Once we are though, we can’t stop it from changing us.

"Maybe…you’ll fall in love with me all over again.”“Hell,” I said, “I love you enough now. What do you want to do? Ruin me?”
“Yes. I want to ruin you.”
“Good,”
“Yes. I want to ruin you.”“Good,” I said. “That’s what I want too."
